Platform Terms and Conditions
Parium AI Ltd
Last updated: 20 March 2026
ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms and Conditions (“these Terms”) govern your use of the Parium platform (the “Platform”) provided by Parium AI Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
The Platform provides live Linux terminal environments in which you diagnose and resolve simulated production infrastructure incidents as part of a recruitment process. You are using the Platform because an employer or recruiter (the “Employer”) has invited you to complete an assessment.
Important: The Platform is currently in beta testing. This means it is still being developed and tested, and features may change. Please read Section 2.3 for important information about the beta status.
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform. By clicking “I accept” or by accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. ACCEPTANCE AND CHANGES
1.1 Acceptance
By clicking “I accept”, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that:
- you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms;
- you have read and understood our Privacy Policy at parium.ai/privacy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information;
- you are at least 18 years old; and
- you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
1.2 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by displaying a prominent notice on the Platform or, where practicable, by email. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.
2. THE SERVICE
2.1 What the Platform Does
The Platform is a web-based application that provides you with access to a live Linux terminal environment containing a simulated production incident. You are tasked with diagnosing the root cause and resolving the incident within a set time limit. Your terminal session is recorded and analysed, and an assessment report is generated and shared with the Employer.
2.2 What We Record and Monitor
Please read this section carefully. During your assessment, we collect and process the following:
- Terminal session recording: We record a complete log of your terminal session, including all commands you enter and all output displayed. This recording is used for session replay by the Employer.
- Command history: Every command you execute is logged with a timestamp.
- Keystroke data: We record keystrokes within the terminal environment.
- Paste detection: We detect and record when you paste content into the terminal, including the content pasted and the timestamp. This is used to assess whether external sources were used.
- Tab-switch detection: We detect and record when you navigate away from the assessment window (e.g. switching to another browser tab). We record the timestamp but not what you switched to.
- AI Integrity Check: We analyse behavioural patterns — such as whether you refreshed the page and then solved the incident suspiciously quickly — to flag potential use of AI assistance tools.
- Timing analysis: We analyse the timing and sequence of your commands.
- Hints: If hints are available in the assessment, we record which hints you accessed and when.
- AI-generated analysis: After your session, your terminal data is processed by an AI system (currently provided by OpenAI) which generates an analysis of your troubleshooting methodology, areas of strength, and areas for improvement. This analysis is included in the report shared with the Employer.
- Pass/fail determination: Whether you passed or failed is determined automatically by a health check that verifies whether the incident was successfully resolved. The AI does not make this determination.
2.3 Beta Status — Important Information
The Platform is currently in beta testing phase. This means:
- the Platform is still being developed, tested, and improved;
- features and functionality may change or be removed without prior notice;
- the Platform may contain bugs, errors, defects, or inaccuracies;
- the Platform may experience interruptions, delays, or failures;
- assessment results may not be fully accurate or reliable; and
- we may discontinue the Platform or specific features at any time.
We may use your assessment data and feedback to test, improve, and develop the Platform during the beta period.
2.4 No Guarantee of Employment
The Platform is an assessment tool only. We do not make hiring decisions, and we are not responsible for whether the Employer offers you employment. Your use of the Platform does not guarantee any particular result or employment outcome. The Employer is solely responsible for hiring decisions.
2.5 Availability
We will use reasonable efforts to make the Platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend or restrict access at any time without prior notice, including for maintenance, upgrades, or during the beta period.
3. YOUR ACCOUNT AND ACCESS
3.1 Creating an Account
To use the Platform, you may need to create an account or log in using credentials provided by the Employer. You must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
3.2 Your Responsibilities
You must keep your credentials secure, notify us immediately of any unauthorised use, and not share your account or allow anyone else to use the Platform on your behalf.
3.3 Access Requirements
You will need a compatible device with a stable internet connection and an up-to-date web browser. We are not responsible if you cannot access the Platform due to your own technical setup.
4. YOUR PRIVACY AND DATA
4.1 How We Use Your Data
When you use the Platform, we collect and process personal information about you, including your name, email address, IP address, device information, and all of the terminal session and behavioural monitoring data described in Section 2.2 above.
We process this information to provide the assessment service, generate results, share your report with the Employer, maintain assessment integrity, improve the Platform, provide support, and comply with legal obligations.
For full details, please read our Privacy Policy at parium.ai/privacy.
4.2 Sharing Your Results
Your complete assessment report — including pass/fail outcome, time-to-resolution, terminal session replay, command history, behavioural monitoring data (paste events, tab switches, AI Integrity Check flags), AI-generated analysis, and number of hints accessed — will be shared with the Employer who invited you.
The Employer is a separate data controller responsible for how they use your information in their hiring decisions. You should review the Employer’s privacy notice for more information.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4.3 Your Data Rights
You have rights under data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your information. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@parium.ai or fraser@parium.ai. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
4.4 Automated Decision-Making
The pass/fail outcome of your assessment is determined automatically based on whether you successfully resolved the incident. The AI-generated analysis provides qualitative observations about your methodology but does not determine whether you passed or failed.
The Employer retains full responsibility for all hiring decisions, which should involve human oversight. You have the right to request human review of any automated assessment outcome. Contact the Employer or us at info@parium.ai to exercise this right.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE
5.1 General Rules
You must use the Platform only for its intended purpose — to complete infrastructure assessments as part of the Employer’s recruitment process. You must not:
- use the Platform in any unlawful manner;
- use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it;
- transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or connected systems;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Platform;
- copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices; or
- use automated tools, bots, or scripts (except assistive technologies for accessibility).
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You must not provide false information, impersonate any person, harass or threaten anyone, or engage in any conduct we reasonably consider inappropriate or harmful.
6. ASSESSMENT RULES
6.1 Completing Assessments Honestly
When completing assessments on the Platform, you must:
- complete the assessment yourself without assistance from any other person, unless expressly permitted by the assessment instructions;
- not use any unauthorised tools, software, or AI assistance (including ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools) unless expressly permitted;
- not collaborate with others or share assessment scenarios, incident descriptions, or terminal content with any third party;
- not copy terminal output or assessment content to share externally;
- comply with all time limits and restrictions; and
- follow all instructions provided by the Platform or the Employer.
6.2 Terminal Environment Rules
The terminal environment is provided solely for the purpose of resolving the assessment scenario. You must not:
- attempt to escape or break out of the terminal environment;
- attempt to escalate privileges beyond what is required for the scenario;
- attempt to access systems, networks, or data outside the scope of the assessment;
- attempt to install software or tools not already present in the environment; or
- attempt to interfere with the monitoring or recording of your session.
6.3 Cheating and Misconduct
You must not engage in any form of cheating, including using prohibited tools, receiving assistance, circumventing restrictions, or any other conduct that undermines assessment integrity.
As described in Section 2.2, we use behavioural monitoring including paste detection, tab-switch detection, AI Integrity Checks, and timing analysis to detect potential misconduct. This monitoring data forms part of your assessment report.
6.4 Consequences of Breach
If we reasonably believe you have breached these rules, we may:
- invalidate your assessment results;
- notify the Employer;
- suspend or terminate your access; and/or
- report suspected unlawful conduct to relevant authorities.
The Employer may also take action, including disqualifying you from the recruitment process.
7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
7.1 Ownership
We (and our licensors) own all intellectual property rights in the Platform, including the software, terminal environments, assessment scenarios, incident configurations, system logs, design, and branding. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.
7.2 Limited Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for completing assessments. This licence is personal to you.
7.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback about the Platform, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and commercialise it without obligation to you. You waive any moral rights in the feedback.
8. DISCLAIMERS AND WARRANTIES
8.1 Beta Services — “As Is”
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis during the beta period. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no representations or warranties regarding the Platform, including that it will be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.
8.2 No Guarantee of Results
We do not guarantee that assessment results will accurately reflect your abilities or predict your job performance, or that use of the Platform will lead to any particular employment outcome.
8.3 Third-Party Content
The Platform may contain links to third-party sites. We do not endorse or control them, and your use of them is at your own risk.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 Exclusions
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9.2 Types of Loss
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any loss of employment opportunity, income, revenue, profits, data, goodwill, reputation, or any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive losses, whether or not foreseeable.
9.3 Cap on Liability
Subject to Sections 9.1 and 9.2, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed one hundred pounds (£100).
9.4 Employer Decisions
We are not responsible for any decisions made by the Employer based on your results, including decisions not to hire you. Disputes regarding the Employer’s decisions should be directed to the Employer, not to us.
9.5 Basis of Bargain
The limitations in this Section 9 are reasonable given: (a) the Platform is provided free of charge to you; (b) the Platform is in beta; (c) you are using it voluntarily; and (d) the allocation of risk between you and us.
10. ACCESSIBILITY
We are committed to making the Platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to comply with applicable accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
If you require reasonable adjustments to use the Platform due to a disability, please contact us at info@parium.ai or contact the Employer as soon as possible. We will work with you and the Employer to provide appropriate accommodations where reasonably practicable.
If you encounter accessibility barriers, please let us know at info@parium.ai.
11. TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION
11.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Platform at any time. To request deletion of your account or personal information, contact info@parium.ai or see our Privacy Policy.
11.2 Termination or Suspension by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if:
- you breach these Terms, including the acceptable use or assessment rules;

11.3 Effect of Termination
On termination: your right to use the Platform ceases immediately; we may delete your account and associated data subject to our Privacy Policy and data protection obligations; and surviving provisions (including intellectual property, liability, and governing law) continue to apply.
11.4 Data Retention
After termination, we handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Raw session data is retained for 12 months; assessment reports for 2 years; anonymised data indefinitely.

- 12.4 Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
- 12.5 Third party rights: These Terms are between you and us. No third party (including the Employer) has any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
